(23 Nov 2016) Supporters of Haitian political party Fanmi Lavalas took to the streets of Port-au-Prince for a third straight day on Wednesday, demanding "fair" election results they insist would hand their candidate the presidency. Police in riot gear fired tear gas cannisters to disperse the demonstrators who were carrying placards showing Lavalas candidate Maryse Narcisse. The protests come as the Tèt Kale Party (PHTK) said their leader, Jovenel Moise, had won the presidency at a news conference two days before. Haiti's presidential election were held on Sunday. Twenty-seven presidential candidates were on the ballot. Official results have not been released yet.
