Second full-length from this great project part of the Wergil roster, and solely led by by Krieger (Iron Firmament, Lander, Runeblade, Unkindness, etc) and joined by Artificer on the synthesizer interludes. Brilliant suffocating plunge into cosmic depths. Where darkness reigns eternal and life has never reached, Tatterdemalion engulfs us with feelings of overwhelming darkness, disorientation under the vast immensity of nothingness. An isolation that's however tinged with beauty in knowing the vast secrets of the cosmos. In this contrast of formats, Tatterdemalion takes elements from the Atmospheric BM style of bands like Darkspace and Arkhtinn, in both the frantic darkness suffocatin and the big industrial-ish riffs and conjoints these with Progressive Rock passages, spacious and beaitufully executed, that could be drawn from records of Pink Floyd or Tangerine Dream.
