As a pilgrim to the World Council of Churches – a pivotal center for global ecumenism – and an ecumenical envoy to numerous churches and nations, his Holiness both taught and learned through his characteristic humility. Guided by the motto "Walking together, praying together, working together," and demonstrating openness to a shared date for the Easter feast, Francis advanced swiftly in fostering Christian unity.
