This 4-star hotel in Wuhan, China, is being used to quarantine people who were in close contact with confirmed or suspected coronavirus patients. The hotel provides 120 rooms for the purpose of isolation, and currently hosts 24 people for isolated observation, among them three are medical workers. Workers inside the hotel are fully covered in protective gear. Upon entering the hotel, the first thing to do is a full-body disinfection spray. Then, a temperature check. Then workers take down information for registration before leading the person who needs to be isolated to his or her room. Currently one doctor and one nurse are assigned to look after the people isolated inside the hotel. As the number of isolated individuals increases, every 24 people will be assigned to one doctor and one nurse. During the period of observation, the isolated personnel are limited to their rooms. Food are provided by the local government and delivered to each room by medical staff. Trash can be left by the door for staff to collect. The isolated personnel measures their body temperatures twice a day inside their rooms, and report the data to medical staff via a group chat. They may also inform medical staff via cell phone if they have special needs. The isolation period varies, depending on medical test results. "It's alright in here. If I feel like getting some fresh air I just open the window for a bit. They deliver meals, which are not too shabby, four entrees and a soup," said one person staying in the hotel for observation. The headquarters for the control and treatment of the epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in central China's Hubei Province has announced Sunday that it will conduct centralized isolation of all suspected infection cases. The headquarters also required that the process of screening and diagnosis should be simplified and shortened as far as possible, in a bid to avoid more cross-infection. .
