The FedRAMP Marketplace: A New Advisory Services Listing

Finding a consulting service that truly specializes or has expertise in FedRAMP has been tricky for some agencies and cloud providers. Historically, if an advisory organization had interest in being listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace, they were required to become a Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) first to get a FedRAMP-recognized listing. Published on January 13, 2026, RFC-0021 - Expanding the FedRAMP Marketplace proposes expanding the FedRAMP Marketplace to better serve the entire FedRAMP community. What does this mean for an advisory organization? This proposal provides entry on the marketplace for companies that provide FedRAMP-related advisory and consulting services will be able to be listed as such by sharing some information including pricing structure. Seems pretty straightforward? Well, not so fast! There are unique requirements for advisors and they will have to "put in some work" to be listed.
