Evanora Unlimited is an artist that I never knew I would get the chance to cover/film. His work and music impacted my life dramatically as it helped me mature, helped me grow a love for experimentation creatively, helped me shift my views on people/the world, and most importantly just simply inspired me. I have grown a major love for all of his work from his dramatic performance art stunts all the way to his bay area inspired rap songs on east oakland tay beats. I literally listen to tracks on full volume like "okcupid/iraq" and "cold rain" in the car then blaire tapes like lustful expanse front to back right after almost everyday haha. Long story short some of you may not understand his music and may think of this as some random underground show that you don't quite get but it is way more than that to so many people including myself. His mash of sounds and music has brought a massive population of people together and the mark he has made on music history will last forever no matter your taste or pleasure. One example is before the show I got to spend some time chatting with Evanora one on one while I got my media pass. I ended up shooting some portraits of Evanora standing outside this Chinese restaurant with his crazy facepaint freshly done up. During this chat after I took my pictures he told me stories about his travels/time living and partying in Berlin, Ukraine, and other European countries/islands since I had asked about his time outside America. He told me one story that has stuck with me too this day and it was about one of his sold out shows somewhere in Ukraine. He said the show was super packed and the part that stuck with me is he said "I literally had furries in the front row standing right next guys who were real Ukrainian war soldiers." This moment made me laugh super hard with him but also made me really realize how many walks of life come together for his music and find connectivity from it. The story moved me on a deep level and made me realize I was not just weird for loving him and his music and I learned that a ton of people found a love for this abstract discography of music/art. So this video is a moment in his history that I feel you all should take a look at and thank you to Evanora directly once again for this beautiful opportunity. Till next time.
