Today, I’m super excited to show you how to create the most adorable partywear organza baby frock with side pleated puff sleeves. It’s perfect for those special occasions or even just a cute photoshoot! Step 1: Gather Your Supplies First things first, gather all your supplies. You’ll need organza fabric, lining fabric, scissors, measuring tape, pins, sewing machine, thread, and of course, your adorable baby’s measurements. Step 2: Cutting the Fabric Using your baby’s measurements, carefully cut out the pieces for the frock and sleeves from both the organza and lining fabric. Make sure to leave some extra allowance for seam allowance. Step 3: Stitching the Bodice Next, it’s time to stitch the bodice. Place the lining and organza fabric right sides together and sew along the sides and neckline, leaving armholes open. Once done, flip it inside out and press the seams for a neat finish. Step 4: Creating the Pleats Now, let’s move on to the sleeves. Create small pleats along the top edge of the sleeves to give them that cute puffy look. Pin them in place and stitch across to secure the pleats. Step 5: Attaching the Sleeves With the pleats done, it’s time to attach the sleeves to the bodice. Pin the sleeves to the armholes, ensuring they’re evenly distributed, and sew them in place. Step 6: Adding the Skirt Now, attach the skirt to the bodice. You can either gather the skirt fabric or add pleats for a more voluminous look. Pin it to the bodice and sew along the waistline. Step 7: Finishing Touches Lastly, finish off your frock by hemming the skirt and sleeves. Make sure all your seams are secure and give it a final press for that polished look.
