Most people dont realize that a properly installed windshield can save lives. Rhonda found out just how important it was for her when she recently had an accident on a snowy day. Rhonda left for work on a January morning. While she was cautious because of the piling snow, she didnt realize that overnight rains had created a thin layer of ice underneath the snow. In just moments, her car lost traction and started to slide off the road. Her Pontiac Grand Prix rolled over an embankment and dropped on its roof into the creek beside the road. As horrific as the accident had been, Rhonda immediately recognized that her windshield played a crucial role in saving her life. That same windshield had been replaced by Glass America three years prior to the accident. If the glass had been installed improperly or without proper techniques and materials, her windshield would have come loose or popped out. It held up like it was designed to. It could have collapsed on her, pinning her inside her vehicle.
