✈️Mirage IIIc 1:72 scale model Panzerkampf 14648PF✈️ The South African Air Force's "Flying Cheetahs" squadron, officially 2 Squadron SAAF, operated the Dassault Mirage III from the early 1960s through the 1980s. These delta-wing fighters were central to South Africa's air combat capability during the Border War. The Mirage III was used for interception, ground attack, and reconnaissance missions, often upgraded with local modifications to extend its operational relevance. The Flying Cheetahs earned a reputation for skill and professionalism, flying daring low-level missions and engaging in air combat against regional adversaries. The squadron later transitioned to the Cheetah, a heavily modernized Mirage III derivative developed in South Africa. Today's example is from Panzerkampf Models. It is 1:72nd scale and made of diecast with plastic accessories. The model is of Dassault Mirage IIICZ SAAF No.2 Squadron "Flying Cheetahs", #804, Waterkloof AB, South Africa, 1982. It is made extremely well with good detail, I personally found it fantastic, the addition of magnetised accessories is great!!.
