I will be in Hong Kong for a week and I am taking you guys along with me to show you everything I am eating. This is part one of my Hong Kong food adventures and we are starting off with some classic local spots. For breakfast I stopped by a cha chaan teng for a simple and comforting Hong Kong style meal. I got a vermicelli noodle soup with char siu, scrambled eggs, sausage, buttered toast, and of course a Hong Kong milk tea. Light, easy, and exactly how locals start their day. Outside the station I also came across a whole pot of tea leaf eggs. Even though these are not originally from Hong Kong, I had to grab one and try it fresh. Later on I finally got to satisfy my pineapple bun craving at Milk Cafe. Soft, fluffy, crispy crust on top, and the knob of butter in the middle made it even better. I paired it with a yuen yang which was the perfect combo. To wrap things up I grabbed wonton soup without noodles and a beef tendon noodle soup with egg noodles. Both were rich, flavorful, and super comforting after walking around all day. More Hong Kong food videos coming. Stay tuned.
