In this video, we take a quick look at the Geyser Tube and show you what happened when we took it down to our local park. ---------- • Geyser Tube Overview The Geyser Tube is quite simple. It screws onto the top of a Coke bottle (Diet Coke is less messy) and makes the experiment easier and better. Here is how: • Easier to Deploy Mentos The Geyser Tube has a trigger/release mechanism on the bottom, and it makes it easy to deploy your mentos into the Diet Coke. Without it, you would have to find a way to join all of your mentos and drop them in. If you dropped them in one at a time, it would not work because the first Mentos would set off a small reaction. The Geyser Tube makes this process simple. • Bigger Explosion, Higher Cola Stream On the top of the Geyser Tube is a Flow Restrictor/nozzle. It reduces the size of the outlet, which increases the pressure, and the result is a higher stream of Coke.
