Creating a Successful Home Decor Collection - Interview with Lauren Haskell of LO Home - Ep 30

In this Episode with Lauren Haskell we talk about her journey and inspiration behind the creation of her beautiful home decor collection. Not only is Lauren a very talented interior decorator, she is the owner and creator of LO Home - sustainable and sophisticated products for your home. She shares how a dance injury shifted her direction into acquiring a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. During her time as a therapist she learned how the arts were a helpful tool in the recovery process. It was at that time she learned about creating pottery. Lauren was also working as an e-designer and coaching a successful dance team, which meant she was working very long hours on a daily basis. This past year Lauren took a leap of faith and left the professions she loved, to focus all her energy on manufacturing her product line. She is a true representation of what it takes to live as a creative entrepreneur. She started creating her beautiful pottery first in her kitchen, then to her living room, then to her basement, and finally leading her to creating a new studio. She talks about working with local artists and crafts people to create her product, while staying conscious of how the product is created in an earth friendly way. There are so many fun stories in this episode as well as very helpful advice for any creative entrepreneur looking to start their own business from the ground up.
