My name is Egor and in this video, I’m gonna show you step-by-step how you can easily create and set up your first Shopify store in less than ten minutes. Shopify has a trial 14-day version that is completely free and you even don’t have to enter your credit card information. STEP #1 - Sign up Just click on the link in the description and it gets you to the Shopify registration page. Here you need to enter your e-mail and click on the - “Start Free Trial” button. On the next step, you have to enter your address and some additional information and it must be correct because it will be used as your default business address. When all is done click on the “Enter my store” button. STEP #2 - How to add products? Go to the dashboard and choose the “Products” item. Click on the “Add product” button. Here you can add and change different parameters of your product, for example - title and description, price, quantity, weight, etc. Also, here you can add some options for your product, like - size, color, material, etc. When all is done, click “Save”. To see how your product looks like on the site click “Preview”. STEP #3 - Change the homepage and store appearance Go to the Dashboard, click on the “Online Store” item and choose - “Themes”. Here you can customize your current theme or install another one. Click on the “Explore free themes” button. Choose the theme which you like. Alright, it looks better now. But how to change these blocks and how to replace these product samples? Get back to the dashboard and click the “Customize” button. On the “Header” tab you can change the header of your website. For example, you can change the logo image and its alignment, change and remove the menu, add the announcement bar, and some other small things. On the “Footer” tab, as you already can guess you can change the footer of your online store. Here you can change the color of your footer and remove or add language selector and available payment methods. Also, here you can change the footer menu and rename your subscription form. To swap blocks just simply drag and drop it wherever you want. To change the content of a block click on it and you’ll see some options. You can simply edit anything you want. Now let’s go to the “Theme settings” tab. Here you can change the colors of your theme, typography settings, add social media accounts, and do some other small things. Once you have done all necessary changes don’t forget to click on the “Save” button. STEP #4 - Tips and tricks The first is “Discounts”. Let’s get back to the dashboard and find the corresponding menu item. Click on the “Create discount code” button. You can generate code automatically or enter your own. Set the discount value and choose when it will work. Don’t forget to save it. It’s a very useful feature that can highly increase your sales, especially on the holidays. So I recommend everyone to use it. And the second one is the “Apps”. Shopify App Store has a lot of great and a handful apps that can make your life much easier, and help to grow your sales. Some of them are free, some of them are paid. They can significantly expand standard functionality and that is the one of reasons why Shopify is the number one eCommerce platform in my personal opinion. Another one is "Analytics". In the end, I would like to say a few words about analytics. It’s the most important thing when you are selling products online. And Shopify has a powerful analytic module where you can see in real-time from where your customers are coming and what they are buying.
