#Coonoor Town is the place where it has market place which serves to people for centuries. The altitude of Coonoor place is about 1890 Meter above m.s.l. It is a cosmopolitan place and people from various culture live here. Good old English medium schools are here and schools run by state Govt. with Tamil medium Coonoor has got all transport facility with buses, taxies, train etc. The NMR toy train is a Heritage status one. The entire surrounding places are are with tea plantation. The highly grown tea leaves and the tea produced is a best grade among world teas. Come once and enjoy the place as more seasonal guest houses, hotels have come up with different tarriff suiting all categories of visitors. The famous botanical garden and Pasteur Institute is also in Coonoor. Agricultural produces like tea, potatoe, other English and continental vegitables are grown here.
