This is very important to know because power and steam generation are greatly affected by the tick rate at any given moment. The higher your in-game FPS, the higher the tick rate, and the higher water and coolant consumption! This is both good and bad. If you want to produce twice the amount of steam with your modular reactors, just crank up your FPS. If you're not going to be producing steam, and only want to generate power, you might want to conserve your resources, thus lock your FPS to a lower number. This is an advanced tutorial series on how to produce steam from your own radiation-free modular nuclear reactors and how to turn it into power!
