I'm Holding On...Because I don't Trust Myself@allthatjaz-n9c

I found myself holding a grudge. That's not a healthy behavior. I ask myself what's going on? I learned I don't trust myself to not make the same mistake. Recovery is hard. Getting sober is hard. Changing my behaviors and not picking up a behavior is 100 times harder. I can learn to trust myself again. I have hope. I have faith. I know that I may recognize the situation appear next time and have the choice to act differently. I am different and can be different. If I am different then in the future it's going to be different. If I figure out how to trust myself then I get to see who trustworthy people are. I want to fill my life with people that love and respect me. But I need to trust myself and I need to have trust in my relationships if I want healthy and loving relationships. Co-Dependents Anonymous really helped me achieve that in my life today and Alcoholic's Anonymous helped me get sober. I owe my life to 12 Step Programs and am so grateful for the recovery I have today. I listen to my Higher Power's guidance and instructions.
