Hey everyone, this is Alpaco and this is how to fix cheap micro four third smart electronic adapters. Most cheap adapters are made with very low-quality control. But they are very cheap so I usually expect these things to happen. The most common problem with these adapters is the fact that you can’t actually use them out of the box. There is zero communication between the lens you’re adapting and the camera. Rendering them essentially useless. The problem is typically caused by the locking pin on the camera not being able to fully extend. It sounds like it extends completely and feels like it. But there isn’t actually enough room on the mount itself. To fix this problem. Take the mount off the adapter with a small screwdriver. I won’t bore you with showing you every second of this. Next, drill a hole where the locking pin goes through. You probably don’t want to use your foot to hold the mount down while you’re drilling. I didn’t have a smaller drill bit, so I just used what I had. It’s not really a big deal to me. Now, with the hole large enough for the locking pin to extend.
