A Day In the Life of a Seattle Dermatologist in 2020 During the COVID-19 Pandemic

I wanted to share a little about my life during these crazy unprecedented times. COVID-19 has changed our lives dramatically and our practice had to adapt to telemedicine/virtual dermatology visits with my patients for acne follow-ups while on isotretinoin/accutane and other straightforward skin issues. We also had to reschedule cosmetic visits during this time and I am now slowly ramping back up seeing medical dermatology visits now that we are allowed to do non-urgent visits and procedures. Mask-use has become a part of our daily lives and I am grateful that my patients are doing their part and coming to their visits with a mask (but be sure to wear it correctly). In the video, I will review my morning skin regimen and my routine of dropping my kids off at daycare where I need to wear a mask during the drop-off process. I will also give a tour of my office in Bellevue, WA. We are a thriving practice and I love my patients! I also do shout-outs to my favorite cosmetic products (Botox, fillers), my dermatoscope, my microscope (to detect fungus and scabies), and treatments/medications for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (Otezla and biologics). I also demonstrate a bit of surgery and cryotherapy/liquid nitrogen treatment for pre-skin cancers called Actinic Keratosis.
