While raising my children, I realized that some kids feel underchallenged by the material they encounter at school. Their natural curiosity often goes unsatisfied because the content is designed for the majority, but not for children with advanced thinking abilities. When these bright minds aren’t challenged, they can become bored, disengaged, and lose their enthusiasm for learning. As parents, we have the opportunity to show them that math is more than just adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. It’s a fascinating world of logical thinking, pattern discovery, and counter-reasoning. Math competitions can be a wonderful way to open their eyes to this bigger world—beyond the boundaries of regular schoolwork—where their curiosity can be sparked, and their potential nurtured. I believe that every child can excel in math with the right approach. I try to use creative teaching methods, including visual explanations, step-by-step solutions, and interactive problem-solving techniques, to help children better grasp math concepts. I will also incorporate real-life examples to make abstract math concepts relatable and easier to understand. My goal is to demystify math and show kids that it’s not something to be afraid of — it’s something they can master with a bit of practice and the right mindset. Video Update: every Monday and Wednesday I will upload one C-part kangaroo math question for grade 3/4. The Kangaroo Math Competition is an international mathematical contest designed to make mathematics fun, engaging, and accessible for students of all skill levels. It originated in France in the early 1980s, inspired by Australian mathematics competitions, and has since grown into one of the largest math contests in the world, with millions of participants from over 80 countries. Rather than emphasizing routine calculations, Kangaroo problems focus on logical thinking, geometry, patterns, and spatial reasoning, encouraging students to think critically and creatively. Why my videos? I don’t just provide the answers; I focus on explaining the methods and guiding viewers step-by-step on how to approach and solve problems. My videos emphasize the importance of understanding where to start and how to logically work through challenges, making them valuable for anyone looking to build problem-solving skills and confidence.
