ABOUT: This bonus video shows you how to play as the normally unplayable Barbarians 8th Civilization slot via hacks and cheats in Sid Meier's Civilization 2 Multiplayer Gold Edition (MGE). This is the second episode in a special bonus series where I try to do this in every Civilization genre game I can. Civ2 has built in zoom controls so if you want things to be bigger then just adjust them or lower your Windows resolution and the game will resize to fit. "Barbarian" is the actual in-game name of the non-aligned and normally not playable 8th Civ faction slot. My use of the word is purely in regard to the in-game Civ faction and certainly not anything in the real world. I filmed this video years ago before discovering WineVDM which removes the need for a Virtual Machine to run 16bit apps like CivTweak & CivCity. Turns out you run CivCity from the Scenario folder where the custom rules.txt file resides it will display custom unit & building names.
