Moira Livinngston, Clinical Director Improvement Capability, NHS Improving Quality and Julian Hartley, Managing Director, NHS Improving Quality, presentations at the Everyone Counts -- Improving Outcomes for Patients event, held on 19th June 2013. The aim of the event was in preparation of the publication of the consultant-level outcome data at the end of June. 'The NHS Planning Guidance Everyone Counts: Planning for Patients 2013/14' sets out a new approach to planning NHS services from April 2013 founded on the principles of empowering local clinicians to deliver better outcomes; increasing information for patients to make choices; and greater accountability to the communities the NHS serves.
