American Pie seems like one of those songs that every American loves! This was my first time ever hearing this song and heard Don McLean. I don't thin I have ever heard of the name Don McLean before. For some reason, all throughout this song I felt a sense of sadness but also happiness all at the same time. The soothing vocals of Don McLean seemed to keep that sense of sadness on the track all whilst the Instrumental gave the sound of struggling to stay positive. I really enjoyed this one. I have no idea how big of a song American Pie is or how big of a musician Don McLean was but I am definitely looking forward to checking out more of his work.
