On September 27th, 2022, officers in Lubbock, Texas, were called to handle something that, at face value, seemed minor: A car blocking an alleyway. When they arrived, however, they discovered something far more sinister. In the backseat of the vehicle, they found the body of a 50-year-old man, a local grocery store worker who lived just up the road. He had been brutally beaten, wiped down with bleach to destroy evidence, and left inside his own car. Fortunately, it didn’t take police long to identify a suspect.
