This is part of 2 my Bataan travel vlog where Jonessa and I are staying at the picture perfect Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar which houses originally restored and restored buildings from Spanish colonial era in the Philippines dating as far back as the 1800's.. Coming from Bagac town proper the previous night and chancing upon Bagac's lovely beaches, our second night brings us to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar where we are attending the wedding of our friends Raymond Tagle ans Nicole Santos. Before the wedding, I had a quick lunch at La Bella Teodora, the Italian restaurant named after Teodora Alonso, the mother of our national hero Jose Rizal. I killed some time here waiting for check-in time and when 3pm came along, I was pleased to find out that we were staying at Casa Jaen II, the the old home of the Mayor of the town of Jaen, Nueva Ecija built in the early 1900's. Our room was going to be over 100 years old and was authentically decorated with antiques. It felt like stepping back into time! This was no time to relax though as 4pm was fast approaching for the Tagle-Santos wedding. Quickly I freshened up and made it into the rustic Catholic Church patterned after the majestic Balanga Cathedral. The reception was at the function hall of the Hotel De Oriente, an iconic hotel that stood in Escolta in the late 1800's. I don't cover much of the footage of the wedding here but even though we partied to our heart's content, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hit the beach and tour the different the houses the very next morning. I joined the group tour which went into Casa Lubao that used to stand at San Fernando, Pampanga; Casa Quiapo which first housed the UP School of Fine Arts; and Casa Luna from La Union, previously owned by relatives of Juan Luna and Antonio Luna --- all structures dating back to the early 1900's. #lascasas #lascasasfilipinasdeacuzar #oldhomes #bataan Sub count 2778
