Dr Megan Evans: Understanding and engaging with conservation policy: what’s the role of science?

This is a CHANS seminar, part of the CHANS seminar series organised by Dr Marion Pfeifer (Assoc Prof Landscape Ecology and Management, Newcastle University). Marion's group’s (https://blogs.ncl.ac.uk/marionpfeifer/) research centres on tree restoration, forest health and sustainable intensification of agriculture, in particular in the developing tropics. Dr Megan Evans is a Lecturer and Research Fellow within the School of Business at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. Megan’s expertise sits broadly within environmental policy, governance and economics, with a focus on market-based instruments. Megan currently holds an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) Fellowship which is examining the growth of private sector investment in biodiversity and natural capital.
