Previously, Cross‑Cluster Live Migration required identical storage container names across both the source and destination clusters. If the names didn’t match, the migration simply failed. With the new feature introduced in FEAT-14568, Prism Central now allows you to map a VM’s source container to any available container on the target cluster. Whether you're working through the Prism Central UI or using the v4 API, you now gain full control and flexibility over where migrated VM data lands. In the UI, a new dropdown menu automatically suggests matching container names but also lets you manually select any target storage container. This enhancement is available starting with AOS 7.5 and Prism Central 7.5, included for AHV users running the Pro or Ultimate editions.
