Dub Current 01 – First Light is an open and luminous ambient dub techno jam built around a steady groove at 108 BPM. The first track in the "Dub Current" series explores a brighter, more spacious side of dub – less dark and heavy, more open and forward-moving. The Elektron Syntakt drives the rhythmic foundation while the Digitone adds tonal depth and harmonic movement. Atmospheric layers and lead sounds come from Arturia Pigments, u-he Diva and u-he Repro, all processed and shaped inside Ableton Live. Space and depth are created with Valhalla delay and reverb alongside dub echo treatments and Blackhole Immersive, giving the track its characteristic open and drifting quality. Like all Dub Current sessions, this piece is recorded live and shaped in real time. No heavy edits. No artificial polish. What you hear is exactly what happened.
