Exciting Day of Fishing and a Beautiful Sunrise - Lake Temagami Backcountry Camping

Welcome to day 3 of our vacation in the wilderness of Lake Temagami. In this video we wake up to a beautiful sunrise, make breakfast and pack up camp. We are heading out to find another site for the evening. Along our journey to find the perfect campsite we cast our rods in hopes to catch a fish or two. We turned the corner from where we had been staying the night before and the fish were on! Both Rob and I managed to get a couple hooked on before we left the area. You'll have to watch and see how that turned out! After fishing in this small area for a while we decided to continue on with our journey. We turned the corner onto the open water and the wind was incredibly strong! Our arms were burning, our speed over ground had been cut down to 1.5km/hr, and we were feeling quite fatigued. Wouldn't you know it, as we are struggling to power our way towards our next inlet that we need to turn into Rob's rod crooks right over! There's a HUGE fish on! Getting the fish boat side took a bit of patients and effort and we had to make a decision, keep it or let it go. You'll have to watch to find out! After our fish fiasco, we finished the last leg of our trip and found our campsite for the evening. It was incredibly hot, so we took a quick swim in the lake. We then set up camp and Rob got to cooking dinner. We have a beautiful sunset, followed by thunder and lightning, and a gorgeous sunrise! Couldn't have asked for a better way to end our 4-day trip.
