While working on a Zentangle tile, I used a black charcoal pencil, smudged the tile, and tried to erase the mark — but it wouldn’t erase. Instead, it left behind a faint, foggy impression on the tile, like a disappearing shadow. That moment sparked the idea: “What if tangles could appear like ghosts… like fading echoes on the tile?” And that’s how Ghost Tangles was born. Instead of hiding mistakes — we embrace them and allow them to guide new compositions. No erasing. No perfection. Just inspiration.
