This HSS-configured Strat-style guitar features a basswood body, roasted Canadian maple neck and fretboard, a 2-point tremolo, gold hardware, and a modern C neck with a 9.5" radius and bone nut — offering surprising quality and versatility. I test the JS-400 through the Friedman IR-X, exploring everything from clean tones to high-gain sounds. The tremolo system is put through a few dive bombs to see how it holds tuning, and overall the performance is impressively stable — especially after a string change and some play time. Whether it’s funk, synthwave rock, or heavier tones, this guitar handled it all. While it ships with basic strings, a quick upgrade made a big difference. The internal build quality is also excellent — pickup cavities and wiring are clean and well-executed, which is rare in this price range. The JET JS-400 is available through Tampereen Musiikki, who ship anywhere in the EU for a flat 30€ fee. Their website is in Finnish, but they speak English and are easy to contact — check the description for a direct link to their contact page. If you're looking for an affordable, great-sounding guitar that doesn’t feel cheap, this is one to watch. 🎸 Thanks for tuning in — don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more no-nonsense gear reviews!
