For a long time, choosing patterns felt overwhelming. Too many options. Too many saved projects. Too many “maybe someday” ideas. In this video, I’m sharing how I now choose patterns slowly — using research, libraries, and real life as my guide. Before I ever commit to a pattern, I study construction, shaping, ease, and wearability. I think about how a piece fits into my actual wardrobe — not just how it looks on its own. This slower approach saves time, yarn, and energy. It also protects my hands and helps me make pieces that actually get worn. Right now, while my wrist heals, this planning stage is exactly where I need to be. It allows me to move forward without forcing progress my body isn’t ready for. In the next video, I’ll begin narrowing this research into a focused spring direction — without revealing everything all at once. If you’re planning projects for an upcoming season, I hope this gives you permission to slow down. Thank you so much for being here. — Shannon #PlatinumKnots,#SlowMaking,#crochetlife,#knitandcrochet,#WearableWardrobe,#mindfulmaking,#cozyknits,#cozycrochet,#YarnWardrobe,#crochetwearables, #HandmadeClothing
