This year has brought challenges that none of us could have imagined. As frontline workers we have had to find new ways of working, protecting our clients, our families and ourselves. One of the hardest issues we have encountered is wearing PPE during our work, it creates a barrier between midwife and pregnant people which is so difficult to manage when our very job title means "with woman". At a recent home birth the family one of our midwives was caring for told her "Don't worry, we can see your smile in your eyes.". It was a moment she will treasure forever. Our smiles shine through, from behind the mask. No matter what the situation your midwives will always there for you, supporting, caring and smiling with you at every step in your journey.
