We have a "Macbook Pro with No Sound.This covers the Macbook Pro A1278 (2009- 2012). We have no sound from the internal speakers. The speakers did not appear in the sound options, in settings, on the macbook. #MBKupcycle #applerepair So we tracked the fault to the "Tip detect Circuit" or AUD_J1_TIPDET. We soldered a link between pin 1 & 2 of the Audio Jack. this has bypassed the "Tip detect Circuit".
