This is a full playthrough of Diablo 1 with the Sorceror class on Single Player and just Normal difficulty. I am using devilutionX which provides great compatibility with modern operating systems and got a bunch of quality of life boons. This is the first video in a serie where I will tackle each Diablo game. Diablo 1 is probably the easiest entry for me simply because I played it so much! But it never fails to capture my motivation as runs are never the same ; you never know exactly what monsters the game will throw at you, which quests you will have or what gear you will get. This makes it very fun. For a Sorceror I had a bit of a rought start - no great damaging spell except Lightning. I did find a staff of Fireball later on but I made the mistake of recharging it through my skill instead of Adria. I got through the rest of the game with.. just.. Firebolt. haha I was really surprised to see not one but two triple immunes!! I had no idea they existed in Normal difficulty. But thankfully, Golem with Stone Curse did the job. I was lucky to find scrolls of Golem on the floor and at Adria. I also got Book of Mana Shield very very late. It was a little bit rough. But thankfully a Staff of Apocalypse really saved the day! I did not bother clearing the whole dlvl16 mostly because it was getting late for me. I would have just used Apocalypse over and over, protecting myself with Fire Walls against the knights, as my Firebolt is too weak to make a real dent. I selected the Sorceror randomly ; usually I tend to play Warrior or Rogue. This was a nice change. For Diablo 2 I will also pick my character randomly.
