Mt. Harmukh Ascent from the West | New Route | Climb | Alpinism

22 August 2023, three of us Zeeshan Mushtaq Karn Kowshik and Vinod Joshi, summited the most interesting peak of the valley from a new route to the glacier. The team approached the glacier field from western gully which involved a pretty interesting mixed climbing. From the ABC at 4000m, we left early at 4am, hiked the first 500m easily through the gully until finally it started to get challenging. We were 200m below the glacier field and to reach there, we climbed the bullet hard ice, some nice alpine rock and finally found ourselves on a vast field where from the summits arise. The main peak of Harmukh was then reached easily by crossing the snow bridge over the bergschrund and ridge walk towards the summit at 3pm. The team descended back from the same route and finally reached safely to ABC at 10pm.
