The main goals of the project can be broadly explained and consist of the foundation of a “Maternity House” which will allow pregnant women at risk to move earlier close to main hospital. According to WHO (World Health Organization) this is the only mean to reduce death mortality related to maternity, both for the mother and the child. The project aims to protect, thus, women and children from diseases correlated to pregnancy. The project will also put an effort in helping to develop a “training space” in collaboration with Italian paediatricians in order to educate and give basic information on nutrition and child growth to nurses, obstetricians and to the population. This House will stand close to the main hospital in order to avoid too many movements to doctors and pregnant women at risk once they settle.
