Last Autumn I was loaned an NS Synonym TR 120mm full suspension bike to try out on my local Welsh mountain bike trails. It was a size too small but so much fun. Unfortunately I lost the GoPro Hero 11 SD card after the ride and only found it this week (Feb 26). So here is my late first ride review! NS Bikes are a Polish bike brand and the sister company to Rondo - best known for gravel bikes such as the RUUT and Rondo Bogan. NS Bikes became famous with slopestyle riders and gravity mountain bikes but their Synonym line was one of the first slack XC bikes on the market and started a trend! It was down country before Pinkbike ever made that term up. The 120mm travel feel so much more and the bike is confidence inspiring on the descents thanks no doubt to that slack head angle. The frame is full carbon and whilst I was not a fan of the Maxxis Rekon tyres or the SRAM Level brakes, the bike won me over and became a contender for my new mtb race bike. Have you ridden an NS Bike? Let me know. The first ride was at Coed y Brenin in North Wales. The original UK trail centre is continues to inspire despite NRW neglecting it and closing the trail amenities last year. The future of Coed y Brenin will be a regular topic on this channel. We have to save our trails. This channel is dedicated to all those people 45+ (or approaching the age milestone) who think their best fitness years are behind them. Join me and together we will prove that wrong! Life is for adventure and to move. Experience it all, age is just a number. Live #lifewithoutnumber Life starts here! Thanks for watching folks!
