Integrating ADR and Investigative Techniques in Ombudsman Case Resolution Ombudsman institutions are often faced with complex and sensitive complaints where both facts and human relationships are involved. In many cases, investigation alone or Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) alone may not be enough to resolve disputes effectively. This webinar explores how ADR and investigative techniques can be combined to create fair, efficient, and sustainable solutions. Bringing together experienced Ombudsman practitioners and dispute resolution experts, this session provides practical insights into hybrid dispute resolution approaches that strengthen procedural fairness, improve case management, and enhance public trust in Ombudsman institutions. This webinar forms part of the African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC) mandate to strengthen capacity, professionalism, and good governance within African Ombudsman institutions. It is supported by the African Renaissance and International Cooperation Fund (ARF) and the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), which promotes global collaboration and knowledge exchange among Ombudsman institutions. ✨ Key Topics Covered ✔ How to integrate ADR and investigative techniques in Ombudsman case resolution ✔ Determining when ADR or investigation is most appropriate ✔ Applying hybrid approaches to improve efficiency, fairness, and credibility ✔ Reducing complaint backlogs while strengthening public trust Featured Speakers Adv.
