Travel with Me! 3 Day Travel Vlog - Mackinac Island, Michigan - First Time Ever! - July 2020

♡SUBSCRIBE! I upload every Wednesday & Sunday♡ ♡Hey Everyone! As a celebration of my grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary, my whole family took a trip to Mackinac Island! Our time there together was packed with adventure, laughs and love. I’m so grateful for the time that I have with so many amazing people! The first day, we woke up at the crack of dawn and drove from Traverse City to Mackinac City where we boarded a ferry boat to the island. We had a bit of time to explore the downtown area, shopping around a bit and of course, sampling some chocolates! After that, we ate lunch at the Grand Hotel, which was absolutely delicious! After our lunch, a carriage and two giant horses picked us up and took us on a guided tour around the island. Once we were dropped off, we checked into our hotel rooms at the Lilac Tree and took a short nap before it was time for dinner! Outside of the restaurant we were going to for dinner, a photographer met us on the beach to take family pictures as a surprise for my grandparents. We had dinner at the Iroquois, enjoying delicious appetizers and drinks before our main courses and desserts. After a long day of travel, we couldn’t wait to hit the pillow! The next day, we gathered in the morning at The Pink Pony for breakfast. While waiting for our table, I visited the store and got the cutest sweatshirt and a couple other little goodies. After a big breakfast, we set off on an 8-mile bike ride around the Island. Lewis and I rode a tandem bike and, oh my gosh, that is so much harder than riding a regular old bike! The scenery was beautiful and it felt great to spend some time exploring the island. After our bike ride, we hung out lakeside and enjoyed some lunch in the sun. For dinner that night, we dressed to the nines and had a fantastic dinner at The Woods, in honor of the 50th Anniversary Celebration! The next day, we shopped a bit more and then headed across the lake on the ferry once more to make our way home. The trip was definitely one to remember!
