Some footage from a 2 week trip to Ireland I took this winter. I enjoyed treating this as a little exercise in framing using the BMPCC OG. I really appreciate working with this camera for its simplicity. I used a minimal rig, the only attachment to the camera being a cage and an external NPF battery power plate. The built in monitor on this camera is terrible, but I must say it brings a bit of excitement to the process when I finally get home to a computer and get to check out the footage with saturated colors (Almost reminiscent of a 16mm film excitement!) I used two lenses in this video, a 25mm f1.4 Kern Switar c-mount lens, and a 16mm T2.2 Meike Cine Prime lens. The Switar has a much softer appearance, specifically towards the edges of the frame, you may be able to pick out in some of the shots. It also creates a heavy wash of magenta at the edges which was interesting to deal with in the color grade. You can still see the remnants in some shots. All footage was shot in western Ireland, near west Cork, and some on the Dingle peninsula. Graded and edited in DaVinci Resolve.
