This Straits of Mackinac camping video with music by Aspen Jacobsen was shoot during summer, spring and fall camping trips. We camped at Straits State Park, St Ignace KOA, Mackinaw City KOA and Mackinaw Mill Creek campgrounds. In this video, we will show you this area which is rich in both human and natural history and tell you about these campgrounds. At the end of the video we'll tell which was our favorite camping spots and why. The Straits of Mackinac is where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet. It has been a destination for travelers for thousands of years. As a kid I visited here with my family, but as an adult I mostly traveled over the straits on the Mackinaw Bridge on my way to camping destinations further north in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. However, lately we have been using the straits as a convenient place to camp at the beginning or end of forays into the UP. This got us interested again in the area and we decided to plan both fall and spring camping trips to this area and try some different campgrounds on both sides of the straits. We hope you enjoy the video and will subscribe to our channel.
