After having contacted the firm that sold me this printer, I decided to address the problem myself. To print a maintenance page (optional and not necessary to get rid of the streaks): 1) Press the home button for about 5 seconds until a black menu appears. 2) Press the bottom black bar. 3) Enter the asterisk, 0 and #. 4) Lastly enter 77. The maintenance page will now be printed, and the printer will return to its normal state. To clean the scanner: 1) Turn off the printer. 2) Lift the document cover and clean the white plastic surface and scanner glass underneath it with a soft lint-free cloth moistened with water. 3) In the automatic document feeder, clean the white bar and the scanner glass strip underneath it with a soft lint-free cloth moistened with water. 4) Supported models only - Open the scanner glass cover and then clean the other white bar and scanner glass strip. 5) Close the document cover. 6) Turn on the machine and check if you have cleaned it properly by copying a document. To clean the corona wires in the drum unit: 1) Place disposable paper on a flat surface. 2) Open the top cover until it locks in the open position. 3) Wait for the machine to cool down before touching the machine’s internal parts. 4) Remove the toner cartridge and drum unit assemblies and place it on the disposable paper. 5) Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and right to left several times. Repeat this for all the corona wires. Be sure to return the green tab to the ‘Home position’  the arrow must be aligned with the arrow on the drum unit. 6) Slide the toner cartridge and drum unit assemblies into the machine. Make sure you match the toner cartridge colour to the same colour label on the machine. 7) Close the machine’s top cover and check if you have cleaned it properly by printing a document or test print. To print a test print: 1) Press the home button. 2) Press the toner level button in the bottom right corner. 3) Press ‘Test print’. 4) Lastly press ‘Yes’. The test print will now be printed.
