Dr Guido Pennings Dr Guido Pennings is professor of ethics and bioethics at Ghent University. He is a member of the Ad Hoc Ethics Committee of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of the Academic Hospital of the Free University Brussels, the Task Force on Ethics and Law of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the National Advisory Committee for Bioethics, the Ethics Committee of the Services for the Blood of the Belgian Red Cross and of the Reflection Group for Biomedical Ethics of the Academic Hospital of the Free University Brussels. 2nd International Symposium on Social Egg Freezing On March 6, Barcelona hosted the second International Symposium on Social Egg Freezing, a conference that brought together 320 healthcare professionals from 13 countries. The congress, organised by Eugin Clinic, addressed the current state of fertility preservation for social reasons on an international level.
