RLS 15 - Schlage Compressible Cylinder F Series Knobs

In this video we will revisit the Schlage F series Knobs but this time take a look at the version with the compressible cylinder that were introduced around 2005 ish I believe. We will examine the differences in the designs between original F and show how to rekey these and how to rebuild the cylinder with a new cap/springs in case it comes apart on you. Hint, once they “fail” you should be highly suspect of the integrity of the cylinder even after installing a new cap. The top of the bible of the cylinder where the “teeth” of the cap slide stops can be worn enough for even a new cap to not work. As we will see in a roundabout way in this video!
