JOIN THE NEW DISCORD SERVER: / discord Follow the game's twitter: / even_heroes_die Even Heroes Die is a passion project that I've been toying with for years. These past several months, I finally got serious. I've committed to work on the project every day, and the progress I've made since then has been incredible. The game will be an action platforming roguelike (roguelite?) with elements from the Metroidvania and Zelda genres. Sounds contradictory? It kind of is- and it's pretty hard to get right. But as someone who loves roguelites and Metroidvanias, I'm aiming to get this right. So this is like Dead Cells? Not exactly. I love Dead Cells, but it's not really what I'm going for. With each run you'll lose all of your movement abilities and upgrades, and you'll discover a brand new set. In one run you might find a "double jump" and in the next you might find a jetpack. If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it's more like A Robot Named Fight. It's not the kind of roguelite that will require level grinding, either. Your skill will be the only thing preventing you from winning on your first try. Made with Game Maker Studio 2. This was also a secret test of my $10 capture card. All footage from other games was captured using a cheap knockoff capture card I found on Amazon.
