Generac 7500 EXL Generator Run Quit FIXED!! Culprit, Low Oil Switch! Bypassed for Testing Only

Hi! Today we diagnosed and temporarily repaired a generator that turned out to have a faulty low oil pressure switch. This generator only has one simple safety system; the low oil pressure switch. That switch is a 5-7lb grounding switch, which means, as soon as it has 5-7lbs, the switch opens and breaks continuity. If ever the oil drops below 5-7lbs, the switch will close and ground the circuit, killing the spark and hopefully stopping the engine before any severe damage may occur. Sometimes stuff goes bad. In the video we'll go over a couple simple tests and explanations on checking this type of system, and what you can temporarily do to get it running in an emergency while the parts are on order. You should not bypass or modify safety systems on generators. They're there for a reason! That being said, let's go see what happens!
