Made with NoteBounce So one day a composer on Musescore from Hong Kong decided to write “Études d’après compositeurs,” or studies written on music from past composers. Bro decided to write his 10th study on the hardest piece written for piano, possibly excluding the Carmen Fantasy by Josef Weiss, and make it way worse than it already is. Oh yeah, it is also in the key of B-flat minor now. On Musescore he writes: “This is the 10th étude in my Études d'après Compositeurs, arranged after Méreaux Étude No.45 (Scherzo Alla Napolitana). I have named this etude "A Hectic Day" as the rapidity of this piece produces a very chaotic, rushing and face-paced vibe. I have put a lot of effort into this étude. Please feel free to comment and let me know your suggestions.” I personally have nothing to say but that I am in awe of such an achievement; it would be even more amazing to see someone play it one day, this looks just as tough as something like Boulez’s Incises to me, which is saying something because the writing here still seems romantic to me, just in a nearly impossible way. Also, imagine those alternating octave actually being alternating and not played only by one hand, the way Wan wrote it. Otherwise, the score actually looks pretty similar here, maybe not surprisingly considering the MIDI is Wan’s himself
