Abstract: Collective decision making and its benefits have been a topic of active research in the domain of both animal and human behavior. However, research exploring group decision in humans using neural data remains limited to fewer studies. Neural correlates of group decision can demonstrate neural benefits in the early sensory stages of our decision-making process. Multi-brain fusion also shows immense potential in terms of applications specifically in the context of Brain-Computer Interface. In this talk, the speaker will discuss the benefits of group decision in humans and specifically focus on how using neural data from multiple human subjects can enhance perceptual decision making. The talk will also explore how signal processing and machine learning techniques can be used to successfully fuse data from multiple brains.
