The beginning of a new series; Back To Basics - Building A Model Railroad In a new house with a one car garage for my new layout seemed very easy. The only problem, I had a previous layout that I have to store before getting started in the new space. Here is the story of what I'm doing to prepare for the new layout, one step at a time. This may be of help for those that have to remove years of clutter in a basement, spare room, or garage. Since I just moved into a new place, I had to get the garage ready by removing old shelving and paint the walls even before I moved my old model railroad into the space. I may show a little of that in one of the videos in this series. Moving is a lot of work even when you think you got rid of most of the clutter.
