AMAZING fish you can find in Australian creeks!

In this video we take a look at a colourful family of fish called Melanotaeniidae, also known as rainbowfish. There are species native to the creeks here in Australia; they are beautiful and easy to care for, yet for some reason, aren't all that common in the aquarium hobby! Jason from Australian Biotopes recently setup a natural looking hardscape in my 6ft peninsula fish tank for my rainbowfish. I was keen to add some more fish, so I set out to a local creek with my friend Maggie! We managed to find crimsonspotted rainbowfish, pacific blue eyes, and ornate rainbowfish. We will show you how these beautiful fish look in their native habitat, how we caught them, and give you a closer look at them in the aquarium.
